Communications for the next AGE — ageet Corporation

PBX Enablement

A neutral PBX enabler

ageet does not sell PBX systems. That is exactly why we can help choose, design, deploy and run the PBX that suits your size, your security requirements and how your sites are arranged, without being tied to any one product. Here are five representative architectures.

Make the most of the equipment you have, and stop tying calls to a place

We combine the business phone system in the office, smartphones and cloud services into an arrangement that fits how you actually work.

Moving to the cloud, consolidating on premises, planning for business continuity — we weigh call quality against the operational burden and set out the options.

MODEL A

Consolidation onto a cloud PBX

The phone equipment at several sites is consolidated onto a cloud PBX. There is no hardware to maintain and adding or closing a site is straightforward. This is the mainstream arrangement today.

MODEL B

Consolidation onto an on-premises PBX

Extensions from every site are consolidated onto an IP-PBX at head office. It makes use of what you already own, removes the cost of site-to-site calls and puts management in one place.

MODEL C

Closed-network on-premises PBX

A PBX on a closed network with no internet connection, for environments with demanding security requirements such as financial institutions and government.

MODEL D

Hybrid PBX

Cloud and on-premises combined so that each does what it is good at. It also works well as a stage in a gradual move to the cloud.

MODEL E

Business-continuity PBX (using Starlink)

Starlink satellite internet keeps a way to make calls when terrestrial lines are cut in a disaster. This is the architecture a business continuity plan turns on.

Plus Series

+Series — extending what your phone system does

Built around the AGEphone softphone, these cloud services extend the work that happens around a call — the phonebook, reception, AI. Details of each are on the product site.

+Phonebook Cloud

The company phonebook is managed centrally in the cloud and read from smartphones and business phones. It also works with the αZX and αZXII from NTT East and NTT West.

+Reception Cloud

An iPad becomes the reception desk. A cloud reception service that makes passing visitors on straightforward, and lets reception run unstaffed.

Multi-device support, April 2026

+PUSH Service

A push notification platform that gets incoming calls to a mobile app reliably. It requires no changes to the PBX, and stops calls being missed without draining the battery.

+AI analyzing the content of a call

+AI(AGEphone Cowork)

AI transcribes and summarizes calls automatically, and drafts the minutes and the follow-up email. It takes a great deal of work out of handling calls.

+Call Recording

Calls are recorded automatically to the cloud — useful for improving how calls are handled, for compliance, and for having evidence when something goes wrong.

Business telephony after the PSTN migration — 2026, and the arrival of voice AI agents

2026, and the arrival of voice AI agents

In January 2025 the public switched telephone network of NTT East and NTT West completed its migration to IP, and ISDN (the INS-Net digital communication mode) came to the end of its role. For business telephony, the move from equipment that assumes analog lines to designs that assume IP is no longer avoidable.

And in 2026, business telephony is starting to move past the IP transition itself. Alongside cloud PBX and smartphone extensions, working with voice AI agents has become a realistic option — first-line answering, summarizing and recording what was said, integration with CRM. The phone is turning from equipment that merely connects people into something that moves the work along.

The point at which a business phone system comes up for renewal is not just an equipment refresh; it is a chance to redesign the whole communication environment. With twenty years of SIP/VoIP experience, ageet supports the work end to end, from the IP migration through to voice AI agents, from design to running it.

From the panel discussion at TECH BEAT Shizuoka 2026

At the TECH BEAT Shizuoka 2026 seminar held at Granship in Shizuoka, iZE Inc. described how it uses real-time AI and high-accuracy transcription in its cloud telephony service, iZE Call with AGEphone Cowork. Voice AI built around AGEphone Cowork has started working in real business telephony.
