About ageet Corporation
Since our incorporation in 2005, ageet Corporation has grown from building telephony applications for contact centers, through SIP softphones for the smartphone era, to cloud-based services that let companies shape their own communication environment.
Today we also work on digital transformation for disaster preparedness and local government, and on next-generation communication built around AI. In a fast-changing market, we deliver stability and confidence through domestic voice technology designed for the way Japanese businesses actually work.

We are committed to bringing innovation from Japan to the rest of the world. Around 2000, before the smartphone wave arrived, we already sensed what was coming and began developing IP telephony on PDAs. That early instinct still shapes how we approach engineering.
Our aim is to create new value in global markets through our own solutions and technology. By combining Japanese precision with a habit of innovation, we deliver the best answer we can find for each customer. Building on twenty years of history, we will keep demonstrating what Japanese engineering can do and contribute to solving global problems through communication technology.

We build everything in-house, from the SIP stack to smartphone apps and cloud infrastructure. A small, highly skilled team has spent a quarter of a century creating technology that became the domestic standard.

Twenty-five years focused on telephony and communication technology. Here are the milestones.
1997
Age Ltd. founded. Developed "IP Antenna", a TCP/IP messaging application
2005
Released AGEphone, an IP telephony application. ageet Corporation incorporated on 26 July
2006
AGEET μSIP Stack adopted by BIZTEL, an IP business phone service
2009
Adopted for a national government agency's encrypted calling system. Supplied mobile VoIP technology to a carrier's MVNO business
2010–2011
Developed AGEphone for iPhone and Android. Passed the NTT East and NTT West interconnection tests and was certified as a recommended VoIP app; "Hikari Denwa on a smartphone" went into service. Began opening overseas development sites (now in Germany and the United States)
2017
Announced AGEphone Cloud for commercial use
2018
AGEphone OEM adopted for a consumer service by KDDI Corporation. Exhibited at CES 2018 in Las Vegas
2019–2020
AGEphone Cloud adopted for the MB500 extension adapter, an enterprise service from NTT East and NTT West. Also adopted for disaster-resilient communication solutions
2021
Capital and business alliance with Tobila Systems Inc., a nuisance-call filtering company
