Layout and Screen Modes

AGEphone for Windows Mobile 5.0 supports different screen modes of your PDA or Smartphone.

Portrait:

When your PDA's or Smartphone's Screen is in Portrait Mode, AGEphone will occupy the full screen. Addressbook and Call History will also be displayed full-screen and cover the main screen.

In portrait mode, AGEphone's Main Screen occupies the full screen.
The Address Book, when displayed, also occupies the full screen and covers AGEphone.	The Call History behaves like the Address Book.

Landscape:

AGEphone was designed to use the additional space when your PDA's screen is in landscape mode to make operation more comfortable. AGEphone will be displayed on the left of the screen, while Addressbook or Call History will be displayed on the right of the screen, making it possible to both view your Addressbook and work with AGEphone at the same time. This comes in very handy on Smartphones that have a pull-out style QWERTY-keyboard which when pulled out automatically switches the device's screen into landscape mode, such as the htc-Z.

AGEphone's Main Screen occupies only half of the screen, the Address Book is displayed right next to it.

The Call History can also be displayed next to AGEphone.

Main Display

 

		Minimize Button
		Hides this screen. To make it reappear, click on the telephone icon in the taskbar.
		Dial Pad
		Click these buttons to specify the number you would like to dial.
		Start/End Phone Call
		By clicking on the picture of the earphone, a phone call can be started or ended. Prior to starting a phone call, enter the desired phone number either by clicking the dial buttons or via keyboard. Then click on the earphone to confirm and start the phone call (Also, a phone call can be started by pushing the ENTER key and ended by pushing the ESC key).
		Volume Control
		Controls audio volume. When the arrow on the knob points in a 12 o'clock position, audio volume is muted, when in a 9 o'clock position, audio volume is at maximum. During conversation, audio volume of the conversation can be regulated by rotating the knob. In ready mode, rotating the knob will regulate audio volume of sounds in ready mode.
		Function Buttons
		Function buttons offer the following functions:
		Address Book History of Outgoing Calls History of Incoming Calls Hold Voice Messages Options
		Display Area
		On the bottom of the display area, the current status is displayed by icons. When there is no icon displayed, phone calls cannot be received. The meaning of the icons is as follows:
		UPNP is active STUN is active STUN has failed and is inactive Registered to the service @nifty phone (Attention: If registration is not successful, no icon will be displayed. In this case you will not be able to receive phone calls.)

Menu

The Main Window offers two Menus: The File Menu and the Tools Menu.

File Menu

Connect Starts an outgoing call or accepts an incoming call. Disconnect Ends a call or stops dialing. Refresh Reloads AGEphone's settings and re-registers to SIP-servers if selected. Status Displays a submenu to change AGEphone's Phone Status. See below for details. Settings Brings up a dialog to change settings such as server settings, manage your accounts, etc. Version Displays AGEphone's version information. Exit Completely exits AGEphone (it will not be active in the background).

Status Submenu

Normal When AGEphone's status is set to normal, it will ring upon incoming calls, and calls will be manually accepted or declined by the user. Answerphone AGEphone will automatically answer incoming calls, play an announcement to the caller and record a voice message. While AGEphone's status is set to Answerphone, it will operate silently. DND AGEphone will automatically answer incoming calls and play an announcement to the caller without recording a message. AGEphone will operate silently. Offline AGEphone will automatically decline all incoming calls. AGEphone will operate silently.

Tools Menu

Voice Mail Displays the folder containing the recorded voice messages. Addressbook Displays the Address Book Call History Displays the Call History.
