microSIP Web SDK

The ageet microSIP Web SDK is for everyone who wants to enable their homepage and web applications with the latest in IP communications technology. It is based on our homegrown microSIP-stack that was developed from scratch in C / C++ relying on years of experience and know-how in the VoIP industry. The stack uses an original SIP-Parser and IP packet processing program, both of which enable high performance at the smallest possible size and resource usage. This guarantees flawless operation down to the oldest currently available desktop systems and the recently popular mobile internet devices which with many other softphones might not offer enough resources for decent operation and multitasking. ageet showed in the past that even on Smartphones perfect performance can be achieved, thus enabling every user to experience our software as it was meant to be.

And means a whole lot! Be it that customers want to place calls directly out of a browser based customer management system without having to resort to any external (software-)telephone, be it that companies want to get closer to their customers or want to offer them voice enhanced products – The Web SDK is suited for both intranet- and internet-applications and renders any external telephony redundant. The microSIP Web SDK is based on ActiveX-Technology which doesn't require a central server for media transport and instead enables direct P2P connections. Bandwidth is provided by the customers ISP and not ageet's customers. This is fundamentally different from using a Flash based solution as Adobe's technology prohibits P2P connections and by that practically enforces a central gateway server. Even with only a few hundred users the resulting traffic and hardware costs can be so high that but a few vendors can and want to pay for this. Apart from that, customers of the Web SDK don't make themselves totally dependent on one platform that enforces its gateway server along with the development tools. This brings us back to traffic costs and scalability. ageet has no own server infrastructure that needs to be financed and hence projects of all sizes and purposes are welcome and supported.

When it comes to implementing the created solutions, developers are again not tied to just one solution, but are able to use C / C++, Java Script or Visual Basic to integrate the final products freely into existing pages and web applications. Of course ageet knows that the world is not revolving around the Internet Explorer alone and therefore a Firefox-plugin is planned and available for further development upon request.
