The softphone has been carefully tested with Windows Mobile 6.5 and is confirmed to be fully compatible now. Because the latest Windows Phones such as the HTC Touch HD2 offer huge improvements in performance and GUI design, ageet feels committed to taking these factors into account for new releases of its popular softphone.
In this sense the latest version of AGEphone Mobile 2 features a new, elegant interface that adapts to the overall look of popular GUI add-ons like HTC’s TouchFlo™ and SPB’s Mobile Shell™. The new skin was designed specifically with high resolution devices in mind and doesn’t fail to deliver on other Windows Mobile resolutions either. As a first step, the Kyoto software house has confirmed the SPEEX wideband codec to run reliably on Snapdragon™ platform and equally powerful mobile devices which drastically enhances voice quality. Because SPEEX is only used in softphones at the current moment, other codecs will be added in the future to enable HD calls with dedicated phones that have support for this feature built in. The Windows Phone™ platform is clearly on the move again after falling behind its competitors in recent years and ageet is working hard to make AGEphone Mobile one of the must-have titles for the OS. The new version will be available for download from http://www.ageet.com/us/download.htm starting December 25th. It can be purchased for $15 instead of the regular $35 until January 15th. A free trial that lets users test all the features of the full version is also available.
