The new AGEphone Business is SIP based internet telephony softphone that enables users to choose from a host of standard compliant Voice over IP (VoIP) providers. It is based on our home grown microSIP stack that is one of the smallest implementations throughout the industry and offers high performance on desktop and embedded systems alike. This AGEphone Business offers a function of transfer which is one of the necessary functions in any business scene. It enables you to transfer and cancel by simply pressing a button.
The softphone is designed to support the latest standards and makes it possible to use multiple VoIP services for outgoing telephony and dial in numbers all around the world! Users don't need to worry about their network environment and can even have their PC wake up on an incoming call if their PC supports Intel's new Remote Wake Technology.
AGEphone Business works very well with Outlook (Express) and contacts from the address book
can be imported easily. A detailed overview list makes managing incoming and outgoing calls a breeze and recreates the seamless experience that so far only mobile phones have offered. Just add any number call to your address book or call it directly for your convenience!
When using the keyboard or GUI to dial a number, AGEphone Business tries to auto complete it with a list of numbers
and contact names matching the digits entered so far. You can also place any number on the quick dial fields and associate your VoIP providers on a per button basis. This is also a great way to quickly switch amongst your ever growing list of internet telephony services.

As the list of codecs has grown and will get even larger in the future we also added a codec management system, enabling you to set codecs on a global and per provider basis.
Our users have asked for a way to automatically pair their numbers to specific telephony services in the past and we have listened of course: AGEphone Business integrates a new call rules wizard that makes simple dial plan management a breeze so that all the numbers you dial are matched to the right VoIP provider without the need to select it manually. This makes single click dialing from the address book even more comfortable as you never need to worry about accidentally using the most expensive service.
And if you're not there to take a call personally the answering machine will get it for you. Or suppose you don't want to be there - AGEphone Business can play an announcement will to the
caller, informing him that you are busy; or you can greet him with the busy tone. Don't have your hands free? No problem either! Just auto accept all incoming calls. Of course, you will also find support for call forwarding if you're away from your computer for extended periods. And so you keep on top of all of this the status
display always keeps you up to date with voice mail messages and your current status.
